Is Deer Antler Velvet Right for Me?

It’s only been a few decades here in the western world that deer antler velvet has caught on due to the amazing benefits now being claimed. Even though something that has been used for over 2000 years in Chinese medicine, it still has it’s naysayers. Most naysayers state that deer antler velvet hasn’t been studied long enough to know the risks. That is true to a point, but does it take someone 20 years to finally realize that smoking cigarettes are bad for you? Deer antler velvet is absolutely loaded with minerals and vitamins and as with any supplement on the market today, moderation is key. Just about anything that is good for you, if taken in excess, will lead to less than desireable outcomes. Vitamin-A helps repair damaged tissue in your digestive tract along with respiratory functions. However, too much Vitamin-A and your liver is shot and bones begin to deform. Iron helps transport oxygen to red blood cells. Too much Iron and your blood cells burst resulting in death. Point is that moderation is the key with deer antler velvet.
